Status menu on the contact list

• Available: also known as online, indicates that you are present and available to talk.
• Away: indicates that you are away from the computer, with an optional away message. You must choose an option from the submenu (see below) to go into away status.
• Detached: your client is currently out of communication with the server.
• Invisible: you are online and can see everyone else, but others will see you as offline.
• Chatty: indicates that you are willing to talk with anyone (BitWise Personal and Plus only).

• New Away Message: enter away status using a new away message that you will enter now.
• Edit Current Message: edit your current away message. If it is a stored away message, the stored message will be updated.
• Use Previous Message: change to away status using your most recently used away message.
• Edit Messages / Prefs: open the Away / Idle preferences.
• Show Away Info Window: open the away information window.

Messages below the line are messages that you have entered and saved. Simply select a message to indicate that you are away with that message.
