Contact list

The contact list (sometimes called a buddy list) is the "main" BitWise window. The contact list is literally just that, a list of your contacts, but is also much more. For example, from the contact list, you can:

  • Start a conversation with anyone on your contact list
  • Add a contact or group to your contact list
  • Open the preferences
  • Change your status, perhaps going away with an away message
  • Start a new conference
  • Send a file to a contact
  • Right-click on any contact for a list of actions you can take with that contact
  • Exit BitWise
