  • Preferences: open the preferences.
  • Voice Info / Settings: view information about the active voice chat.
  • Edit Directoy Info: edit your directory information.
  • Check for New Version: see if a new version of BitWise is available.
  • Event Log: open the Event Log.
  • Log Viewer: open the Log Viewer.
  • Logging Folder: display the contents of the logging folder.
  • Received Files Folder: display the contents of the default received files folder.
  • Always on Top: when checked, keeps the window on top of other windows.
  • Hide: minimize the program to the system tray (Windows and Linux only).
  • Login Simultaneously: opens the log in window so you can log in again with a different username.
  • Log off: Log off of BitWise, also know as being offline. You will be returned to the login window.
  • Exit: Log off and exit BitWise.

Many of the menu items on the file menu of a conversation or conference are the same as on the contact list.

In grouped conversation view, however, there are two different items:

  • Close Window: closes the entire window, and hence all conversations.
  • Close Tab: closes just the current conversation.

  • Save Current Page: save the current whiteboard page to disk, as either objects or an image. Object files can be reloaded into the whiteboard and modified.
  • Save All Pages: save all pages on the current whiteboard to disk.
  • Load Whiteboard Objects: load objects onto the whiteboard from a file.
  • Close: close the whiteboard. Whiteboard contents are not destroyed until the associated conversation or conference is also closed.

  • Save Current: save the text currently loaded into the log viewer as a new file.
  • Close: close the log viewer.
