Router

From BitWise DocuWiki

A router is an intelligent networking device that is commonly used to share an Internet connection among multiple computers. Sometimes routers may require special setup for use with BitWise, such as port forwarding or using the BitWise Routing Server. However, BitWise uses automatic methods for direct connections whenever possible: UPnP, TCP Punching and UDP Punching.

Note: If you are using a wireless connection, you are almost certainly using a router.
